Descriptive essay

A special girl in my life.

Previously, I had never known a person who left a great impression on me. Since I met this girl, whose name is Marcela, I am a different man. I am happier than I was in the past. In fact she makes me feel brand new. She possesses a set of characteristics which give me pleasure to describe. Throughout this paper I will describe an important woman in my life at present.

First of all, I will try to tell you what the main features that distinguish her among other women are. She is a nineteen year old girl whose beauty shines everywhere she sets foot. She has stunning brown eyes and long shiny, black hair. Her lips are like a tasteful apple waiting to be bitten. Her soft white skin makes me compare her with an angel. She is 5.30´tall but even though she could be described as a tiny girl she has a huge soul. She is a complete lady in the extended sense of the word. She consistently treats all those who surround her with respect; her behavior is very proper indeed.

Knowing her, I have found out what a beautiful person she is. She comes from a small town and maybe due to this she is a person of integrity. She is a very generous and supportive person; someone who would help you without hesitation at any given time. Her values are too important to her and that motivate me to stand for what I believe. She is the type of girl I always dreamt of.

Regarding our relationship, I will say that this is the best relationship that I have had. We understand each other; since I have known her everything has changed for me. We are both extremely close and enjoy each other’s company, share problems and solve them together. I feel a positive energy around us. She is very important to me. She gives me the support that I need so much. She understands me and even more importantly she loves me.

In summary, Marcela is a genuine woman whose individuality combines with her moral and physical beauty to make her incredibly important to me. She helps me to be a better man. Now that I have this commitment to her, my life has changed for the positive. If I were to describe her with all my senses, I would say she smells like a sweet rose perfume, she tastes like a juicy apple, she looks like an angel, her skin feels as soft as silk or velvet, in a word she is everything.

My development in electronic literacy

If I had to tell you when my first contact with computers was, I would tell you it was when I was still a kid. I was in elementary school when I started using computers. It was part of the syllabus and I also had a computer class every week. However, I only used computers to type or make drawings. By the time I entered high school I discovered the internet; I realized that it existed, so since then I began using it. Now, I have found that internet has advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages is the information that one can find there; nevertheless there are plenty of disadvantages too, such as pornography. Through this essay I will express the impact that computers and technology have had on me, the importance of electronic tools as an integral teacher in a nearby future and why I consider them important for doing research.

Through time, I have noticed the impact that electronic tools have had on me, mainly in the late few years. For example, I have been using computers for different purposes like, doing research, meeting new people through the chat rooms or communicating with others through the messenger. For that reason I dare to say that computers have a great influence on my education. Although I may not know a lot about operating computer programs, I would say that I just make the programs work for my purposes, I am not an expert. The most common programs I know are office programs (word, excel, power point) and some others for edition like “vegas and adobe audition” which can be applied in some school projects.

The use of electronic tools will be necessary in the future since almost all the fields deal with them. I believe that computers and the media are having an important role in our lives. They are involved everywhere and educational is not the exception. So, I expect knowing about operating electronic tools better in order to enhance my teaching in the future. I do believe that electronic tools are quite useful as long as you know how to use them.

To sum up, we have seen that electronic tools play an important role today not only as tools to be used just like machines but also as means of doing research for different purposes. I think that if we use electronic tools for our benefit, we win a lot. On the other hand, a bad use of the electronic tools could affect the process of teaching-learning. For example, if you do not know how to make a presentation in power point that you think would capture the students’ attention and just for not knowing how to use the program you will not be able to provide the opportunity of a meaningful learning for the students. That is the main reason why electronic tools have a great impact on me and make me be willing to learn more about them.

INTRODUCTORY ESSAY

Do you think that you know me? Well you might believe so but, let me tell you more about me. My name is David Naranjo Diaz, I am twenty three years old and I was born in Aguascalientes Mexico. According to my parents I was always a very active baby, full of energy. Since my first years in this world I started discovering everything which surrounded me. I felt always the curiosity by the unknown things, the new sounds, the new places I visited, the new people I met etc. Now through the pass of the years I am still the same as I used to be in the past. When I was a child I found out that I had a talent to play instruments. I began playing guitar at five years old and piano at seven. I used to be good at it. That is my essence as a human being and today that remains on me, that is part of me, that is what I live for and even though in the current days I am studying a Bachelor Arts in English Language Teaching, music is always inside of me. I consider myself as a patient person, a good listener and overcoat a happy person that lives his days as if they would be his last days. This paper will show you who really David Naranjo is, his likes and dislikes, triumphs and failures, the goals to be achieved and mainly what he expects in life.

I have some likes as anyone else could have. I enjoy playing the guitar mainly alone, although I enjoy playing it for everybody as well. I like watching movies at the cinema or at home, my favorite actors are Al Pacino and Johnny Depp. Something that I have been doing recently and I like so much is gathering on Fridays at night and Sundays in the afternoon with some of my closest friends just to play cards, listen to music and talk about different stuff such as what we have done, how is it going in our week etc, anyway, any subject is great to be talked with them. In addition, I really enjoy performing alive with the band which I work for, that is my job about, playing with a wedding-band on weekends. On the other hand, I dislike drinking too much alcohol and going to night clubs where the music is too high and it is not the kind of music that I prefer to listen to. I dislike watching sports on TV so waking up pretty early in the morning.

I have never distinguished myself as an excellent student, I just try to do my best however, I have won some awards regarding academic issues. I remember that when I was in the primary school I won some awards because of my high grades in the whole scholar year. I obtained one more in secondary school and in the high school too. When I was coursing the ¨propedeutico year¨ at the university I won two awards one each semester because of my high grades. To add, regarding my musical career, I have won some awards in some championships which I have participated as a musician, with my band or as a song-writer. Nevertheless, I have had some failures in other subjects such as jobs, relationships and others fields. For instance, I did not get a job which I expected to obtain I felt a bit sad but now I am over it. I failed in a relationship with a girl who I loved deeply and it was hard to overcome the sadness and loneliness; now I am fine.

Today I have some expectations in life. First of all, I am going to finish my Bachelor art and I hope to start working as an English teacher in the next five years. As a result of that, I expect to obtain a major motivation as a professional in teaching issues. In ten years from now, I would like to be married with the person that I really love, to live in our own house and to go on vacation every year. I would like to have my children with her, three babies perhaps running in the yard. On the other hand, I am going to start studying a Master’s degree to become better in my field of work. I am going to study my instrument once more but in a deep way just like a professional guitarist and maybe I will be able to play in cultural events around the state.

To sum up, I have had the opportunity of living a good life in which there have been triumphs and failures, joy and sadness, where I have won some awards but on the other hand I have lost some other stuff quite meaningful to me; however, my personality has helped me to overcome the obstacles that appear as time goes by and I am totally sure toward what direction I am taking my life. I have some goals to be achieved. Some challenges to be taken and the most important thing to me, finding the path that drives me toward a better life. Every single day is a good day to start taking risks and going into new adventures. That is what I think about life. This it is me, this is David Naranjo.
